Integrations and secrets

Connect AI integrations, custom MCP servers, and API keys to give Flux access to the APIs and systems your team uses.

Connect an AI integration

Open the Chat panel and select AI Integrations. Choose an integration from the Integrations tab and follow the connection steps.

Add a custom MCP server

  1. Open the Chat panel and select AI Integrations.

  2. Select the Custom MCP tab.

  3. Select Add MCP Server.

  4. Enter the server's Name and URL.

  5. Choose an Auth Type:

  • No Authentication

  • Bearer Token

  • OAuth

  1. For Bearer Token, enter the token value.

  2. For OAuth, enter the OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret.

  3. Set Enable for Chat or Enable for Autopilot.

  4. Select Save.

Add API keys

Flux can use API keys to access web APIs. For example, connect an API to push firmware to your repository, read crash reports from devices, or use a tool your team built.

Save a personal key in Settings → Secrets. An organization admin can add each key once for the organization in Organization settings → Secrets → Add secret. Flux uses organization secrets without showing the key value.

Set Allowed websites for each key. Flux adds the key only to requests for the websites you allow.

Provide a secret in chat

When Flux needs a key, a request card appears in chat. Select Provide secrets, then choose Use a saved secret or Enter new values. Review Allowed websites and Make available to, then select Save and continue. Select Not now to close the request.

Example requests

Use our parts API to check the availability and lead time for every component in the BOM. List parts that need a replacement.
Read the crash reports from our device API and group the failures by firmware version and sensor.
Use our materials API to compare enclosure materials by mass, strength, and temperature range.
Send the enclosure assembly to our manufacturing API for a quote. Report the cost and lead time.
