Flux prompt examples
Flux is an AI hardware engineer. Use these prompts to describe a complete device and the work you need.
Electronics
Design a battery-powered temperature logger. Select a low-power sensor and microcontroller, then create the schematic and explain the main design choices.
Create a USB-C power input for this board. Add protection, a 3.3 V regulator, and test points.
Place and route this four-layer board. Keep the USB differential pair at 90 ohms and keep the switching regulator away from the sensor input.
Review the bill of materials. Replace parts that do not meet the voltage and temperature requirements, then update the schematic.
Mechanical design
Design an enclosure for this board. Add openings for the connectors, mounting posts for the board, and a removable lid.
Create a bracket for this motor. Align the mounting holes and leave clearance for the cable and shaft.
Build a three-part assembly for a handheld inspection tool. Place the board, switch, battery, handle, and probe holder.
Design a small robot arm with a base, shoulder, elbow, and gripper. Keep the joints clear of the electronics enclosure.
Firmware
Write firmware for this sensor board. Read the temperature sensor once per second and send the result over USB serial.
Wire harnesses
Create a 300 mm harness between J1 and J2. Match pins that share a net and list the connector housings and wire sizes.
Simulation
Run a transient simulation of this converter during startup. Plot the output voltage and switch-node waveform.
Manufacturing
Prepare the fabrication files and bill of materials for this board. Compare available assembly quotes and summarize price and lead time.
