Dictate messages to Flux with voice input

Use voice input to give Flux a project request. Your words appear in the chat composer as you speak. After you stop, Flux cleans the transcript so you can review and edit it before you send it.

Dictate a prompt

Design a battery-powered temperature logger. Select the components and create the schematic and PCB layout.
Create a compact hinge for a weatherproof sensor enclosure. Include the mounting points and cable path.
Write firmware for an RP2040 to read the temperature sensor and save a reading every minute.
Create a wire harness plan for the sensor, battery, and controller. List the connectors and wire lengths.
Prepare the manufacturing files and a bill of materials for the temperature logger.
  1. Open the Chat panel in a project.

  2. Select the microphone button with the Dictate message label. You can also press Cmd+D on Mac or Ctrl+D on Windows or Linux.

  3. Allow your browser to use the microphone when it asks for permission.

  4. Speak your request. The words appear in the composer while you speak. A recording dot, elapsed time, and waveform show the recording state.

  5. Select Stop dictation or press Space to finish. Select Cancel dictation or press Esc to discard the recording.

  6. Flux replaces the live transcript with the cleaned message. It corrects obvious transcription errors, grammar, punctuation, and casing. It removes filler or repetition that adds no meaning. It preserves your wording, technical terms, and original structure.

  7. Review and edit the cleaned message in the composer.

  8. Select Send. The Send button remains available while Flux cleans the transcript.

If No audio appears, check which microphone your browser uses. Check the microphone input level on your device.

Flux can use recent messages in the thread to resolve references in your dictation. For example, you can say, “Use the second option.”

Dictate into an existing draft

Add that the logger must run for six months on one battery.
  1. Leave your draft in the composer.

  2. Start dictation and speak the text to add.

  3. Stop dictation. Flux keeps the draft and adds the cleaned dictation to it. If you ask Flux to change the draft, Flux makes that change.

  4. Review and edit the complete message, then select Send.

Dictate on a phone

Review this controller design and list the changes needed to make it easier to assemble.
  1. Open the project on your phone and open the Chat panel.

  2. Select Dictate message and speak your request. Flux keeps the screen awake while you record.

  3. Stop dictation, review the cleaned message, and select Send.
