Project tables: BOM, components, nets, and pins

Flux is an AI hardware engineer. The project tables show the parts, nets and pins of the device as rows that you and Flux can read and edit.

Open a project table

Review the BOM and Components tables for missing values on the controller, passives, connectors, display, motor, and fasteners.
Check the Nets table for connections between the controller, display, motor driver, and board connectors.
In this part project, compare the Pins table for the controller, display, motor driver, and connectors with the schematic.

To open a table, open the project editor and select Add tab in the editor mode strip. Choose Nets, Components, BOM, or Pins. In a part project, you can also choose Symbol to see and edit the part symbol. See Edit part symbols. The selected table opens as an editor tab. The tab stays in the editor after you add it, so you can return to it or switch to another view.

BOM

Review the BOM for the controller IC, resistors and capacitors, board connectors, display, motor, and M3 fasteners. Find missing quantities and MPNs.
Update the MPNs for the display, motor, connectors, and fasteners from these manufacturer details.
Compare the unit price and availability of the controller, passives, display, motor, and connectors.

In the editor mode strip, select Add tab → BOM. The BOM table groups parts and lists Component, Designators, Quantity, Value, Package, Manufacturer, MPN, Description, Unit Price, Availability, Lead Time, and Lifecycle. With edit access, edit the Value, Package, Manufacturer, and MPN cells.

Components

Review the Components table for the controller IC, passives, connectors, display, motor, and fasteners. Find missing values and MPNs.
Set the package and manufacturer for the display connector and motor driver. Keep each designator unchanged.
Update the values of the resistors and capacitors, and add the MPNs for the display and motor.

In the editor mode strip, select Add tab → Components. The table lists the designator, component or part, value, package, manufacturer, MPN, and sourcing fields. With edit access, edit the designator and supported part-property cells, such as value, package, manufacturer, and MPN.

Nets

Review the connections from the controller IC to its decoupling capacitors and board connectors. Check the display and motor nets.
Set the net type, current, controlled impedance, and pair group for the connector signals.
Find nets for the display and motor driver that do not match their pin connections.

In the editor mode strip, select Add tab → Nets. The table lists each net name, pin count, connected pins, and net properties. These properties include net type, current, maximum current, controlled impedance, impedance tolerance, impedance-pair group, and bus group. With edit access, edit net names and properties, and change pin assignments in the table.

Pins

Review the controller, motor driver, display, and connector pins. Align their names with the schematic and interface labels.
Find unnamed pins on the display and motor driver, then name them from their schematic connections.
Compare the connector pin numbers and names with the board-to-board wiring.

In a part project, select Add tab → Pins. The table lists Name and the pin-property columns, for example Pin #, Type, Orientation, Pin Group, Section, Order and Sub-symbol. With edit access, edit pin names and property cells. The symbol columns set where each pin goes on the parametric symbol. See Edit part symbols.

Review results in a table

Review the results for the controller, motor driver, display, connectors, and passive parts. Group them by severity and category.
List the open connection, layout, and component-property checks. Show the design location for each result.
Find review results for missing part values, packages, MPNs, and pin properties.

Open the project drawer and select Review to see project review results. The drawer groups results by category and shows check names, severity, status, messages, and issue context. Select a result to open its design context. Use the result actions to mute or unmute a check.

To see component review checks for a selected part, open Reviews in the Inspector. This read-only table lists component check results.
