Part types
Set the part type once, and Flux keeps the symbol, the Library search, and the BOM data correct for that part.
Every part has a Part Type property. Flux uses this property for symbols, Library search filters, and BOM data.
Set or fix a part type
Tell Flux which part types to set or correct. Name the parts and describe their roles.
Set the part types for this IC, display connector, and M3 screw. Keep their MPNs and other properties unchanged.
Fix the motor and bearing part types, then classify the battery, enclosure bracket, and board standoffs.
Select a part, then open Inspector → Properties → Part Type to view or edit its type.
Flux also uses the Terminal category for connection points and the Route Branch Point category for route branches. See Inspector properties and Mechanical parts for part categories and mechanical types.
