Manufacturing Profiles

Flux is an AI hardware engineer. Set your board rules and stackup to match the fabricator before placement.

Choose a manufacturing profile

Tell Flux what manufacturer and board requirements to use.

List the manufacturing profiles that fit this board and compare them.
Use the JLCPCB profile for this board.
Choose a profile before I place components on this board.
Choose a profile for a board that fits inside this enclosure.

In PCB or BOM mode, select Profile in the project left drawer. Choose a profile from Manufacturing Profile. The Default Manufacturing Profiles list includes the catalog profiles. Flux applies the profile to the board.

Compare profiles

Tell Flux which board rules to compare.

Compare the trace width and spacing for each profile that fits this board.
Compare the drill sizes and layer counts for the profiles that fit this design.
Compare profiles for this 4-layer board and explain which rule values fit its routing.

Flux compares profile rule values such as trace width, spacing, drill size, and layer count.

Apply a saved stackup

Tell Flux which saved stackup to apply to the board.

Show my saved stackups and apply Docs QA 4L to this board.
Apply the saved 4-layer stackup to this project.
Use my saved stackup that matches the board's manufacturing profile.

In the Profile drawer, open the Stackup section and select Edit stackup. In Stackup Editor, choose a saved option from Stackup. Your saved profiles appear under My Stackups.

Save your stackup as a reusable stackup profile

Tell Flux to save the current custom stackup for later projects.

Save the current stackup as a reusable stackup profile named Docs QA 4L.
Save this edited 4-layer stackup as Sensor Board 4L.
Save the current stackup as a profile named Enclosure Controller Stackup.

In Stackup Editor, choose Save As.... Enter a name in Profile name, then select Save. You can select the saved stackup from My Stackups in another project.
