Verify and enrich parts

Know that each part in your library is correct before you build.

Enrich part records

Ask Flux to add properties from a datasheet or product page. Flux can cite the source page for each property.

Add cited properties from this datasheet to the IC and connector parts. Include the MPN, package, voltage, and pin count.
Add the rated current, holding torque, mounting thread, and weight to this motor. Add the inner and outer diameter to the bearing.

Open the part project and give Flux the part's datasheet or product page. Review the property values and citations in the part record.

Part properties can include citations to their datasheet pages.

Verify board parts against a datasheet

Ask Flux to compare a board part with its datasheet. Flux can review its MPN, pins, pads, pitch, and package information.

Compare the motor driver and connector parts on this board with their datasheets. Check the MPN, pin mapping, pad count, and pitch.
Compare this display connector and power IC with their datasheets. Include the package and exposed-pad connections, and check clearance around the M3 standoffs.

Open the design and give Flux the relevant datasheets. Ask Flux to compare the part records and board footprints with the documented pin and package information.

Verify mechanical fit and clearances

Ask Flux to review how a part fits in its design. Flux can check the fit of a placed part and its clearance to the board or enclosure.

Check the motor and bearing fit in this enclosure. Review the shaft, mounting space, and clearance to the board.
Check the display, M3 standoffs, and connector fit in the enclosure. Keep the display opening clear and the fasteners accessible.

Place the parts in the design and give Flux the fit and clearance requirements. Include the neighboring board, enclosure, bracket, or assembly parts that define the space.

Publish a new part version and update designs

Tell Flux what to fix, then ask it to publish a new part version and update the designs that use it.

Fix the motor footprint to match its datasheet, publish a new version, and update every design that uses this motor.
Update the display connector pins and the M3 standoff model. Publish both new versions and update their designs.

Select Flux menu → Updates... to review and apply available part updates.

Review updates for components and manufacturing profiles before applying them.
