Keep your part library current

Keep your part library ready to buy, with current stock, availability, cost, and suppliers for each part.

Track inventory, lead time, and cost

Ask Flux to review parts across your BOM and library. Include electrical and mechanical parts so you can compare MPNs, lead time, and cost for the complete design.

Review the inventory, lead time, and cost for the ICs, connectors, display, and battery in this BOM.
Compare sourcing and cost for the stepper motor, bearings, M3 fasteners, and enclosure brackets.

Use the part's MPN and sourcing details in the Library or Inspector. See Pricing and availability.

Replace end-of-life parts and add second sources

Ask Flux to replace end-of-life parts with in-stock alternatives and add a second source for parts that matter to production. Flux's part search leaves end-of-life parts out of its results.

Find in-stock replacements for the end-of-life motor driver and connector. Keep their MPN requirements and package details in the comparison.
Find a second source for this display and battery, then suggest an in-stock bearing and M3 standoff for the assembly.

Search for replacements in the Library by function, MPN, package, and supplier. Ask Flux to compare candidate parts with your design requirements.

Set library standards

Tell Flux the library rules your team uses. Apply the same standards to electrical parts, mechanical hardware, and 3D models.

Use our approved MPN and property naming standards for ICs, connectors, motors, and batteries.
Check the M3 screws, standoffs, bearings, and brackets against our naming and model standards.

Add your library rules to the Knowledge Base so Flux can use them in future part work.

Manage permissions, reviews, and suppliers

Flux's library has user-owned and organization-owned parts. Public manufacturer and distributor organizations can share parts, reference designs, and modules. Private organizations keep parts for their teams. Vendors and suppliers can share parts with you.

Prepare the motor driver, connector, display, and M3 fasteners for a supplier review. Invite the supplier by email with comment access.
Share the battery, bearing, and enclosure bracket with our manufacturer. Give the engineering team edit access and the review team comment access.

Share a part or project by email and choose view, comment, or edit access. Organization membership also sets access to organization-owned parts. See Sharing and permissions and Permission Tiers and Access Control.

Run large jobs in parallel

Ask Flux to divide library work into focused tasks. Run independent searches and reviews at the same time.

In parallel, find alternates for the ICs and display, verify the motor and bearing properties, and check the M3 fastener models.
Review the connector and battery supply options while you standardize the enclosure brackets and standoffs.

Open a new Chat thread for each independent search or review. See Parallel threads.

Move a library to Flux

Ask Flux to import the electrical and mechanical libraries, verify the parts, and organize them under the right owner.

Import this Altium library of ICs, passives, connectors, and displays. Add its symbols and footprints, match duplicate parts by name and MPN, and publish the new parts to our organization.
Import this STEP library of M3 screws, nuts, standoffs, and bearings. Review the models, add the parts to our organization, and link matching parts from the Altium library.

Select Flux menu → Import → Part… for the Altium library and Flux menu → Import → 3D part or assembly… for the STEP library. Review and import the selected parts. Then ask Flux to check properties and sourcing. See Import part libraries, Create parts with Flux, Verify and enrich parts, and Passive Component Consolidation.
